An AA graded card means
That in our opinion, the item is genuine but has the presence of some type of alteration. This designation is used on a case-by-case basis, space permitting, and "AA" must be listed on the submission form as the desired minimum grade.
An AO graded card simply means:
That the item is genuine, but without a numerical grade. This could also be due to the existence of an alteration, either by malice or otherwise, or a major defect. The original submitter may have requested that we encapsulate the card without a grade. The "Authentic" label means that the item, in our opinion, is real but nothing more.
